Laurie & Amy met as high school freshmen and were friends for 5 years before becoming a couple in college. This year, they will celebrate 28 years together.
Originally from the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania, they moved to Florida in 2001 and ran their own business in the hospitality industry for 4 years. They have since returned to the corporate world and are both employed by a pharmaceutical/medical consulting company. Amy manages the company’s contracts and compliance, and Laurie is the company’s medical science editor.
Laurie & Amy have been members of FGCC since 2003 and previously served on the Board as Chair Couple and Media/Internet Couple. They currently reside in St. Petersburg with their two cats, Mackenzie and Sebastian, and are active in greyhound rescue and adoption. This year, they are planning to mark the 21st anniversary of their Holy Union by getting legally married in Massachusetts in August.

Lynda & Ruth
Lynda & Ruth connected 23 years ago, in Silver Spring, MD. Lynda had transferred within IBM from Westchester County, NY, where she was born, and Ruth was attending George Washington University Law School from Guatemala, via Cuba and Wisconsin.
Lynda retired upon moving to Miami in 2000, and Ruth worked first for Miami Dade County and then for Manatee County. Ruth is now a court appointed mediator. They live in Bradenton with their Russian tortoise, two shih tzus, and two bassets, who keep them entertained and demand that they explore local parks and preserves. Not all of them walk at the same pace or want to go in the same direction.Lynda is a member of Art Center Manatee and enjoys taking classes and working on art projects. She also volunteers at the Senior Center. Ruth goes to work and comes home to dinner cooked by Chef Lynda.
After finding FGCC at Pride, and being impressed, Lynda & Ruth volunteered for the Member Services position.
